Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") govern your use of the Steadyway website and your participation in any programme, workshop, or toolkit supplied by Steadyway. Please read them carefully before submitting an enquiry or enrolment. If you have questions, write to [email protected].
1. Definitions
- "Studio" / "We" / "Us" — Steadyway, a business operated from Suite 7, Wisma Sabah, Jalan Tun Razak, 88000 Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia.
- "Participant" / "You" — any person who accesses the website, submits an enquiry, or enrols in a programme offered by the studio.
- "Programme" — any workshop, toolkit, or year programme supplied by the studio, including the Group Workshop Day Pass, Family Conversation Toolkit, and Pre-Retirement Year Programme.
- "Materials" — printed workbooks, prompt card sets, digital documents, reading lists, and any other content supplied as part of a programme.
- "Agreement" — these Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, as updated from time to time.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing the website, submitting an enquiry form, or making payment for a programme, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or enrol in any programme.
You must be at least 18 years of age to participate in any Steadyway programme. By submitting an enquiry or payment, you confirm you meet this requirement or have the authority to do so on behalf of a household participant who does.
If you are enrolling on behalf of another adult (for example, as a family organiser), you confirm you have their consent to share their contact details with the studio and to accept these terms on their behalf.
3. Description of Programmes
Steadyway provides educational workshops, printed toolkits, and coaching sessions focused on retirement preparation. All content is general and informational in nature. The studio does not provide legal, financial, medical, or investment advice. Nothing communicated by studio staff, facilitators, or in any programme materials constitutes personal advice of any kind.
Programmes are delivered from the studio's premises in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. The studio reserves the right to deliver coaching sessions by phone or online where in-person attendance is not possible for the participant.
Workshop day sessions are subject to a minimum attendance threshold. If a session cannot proceed due to insufficient enrolment, enrolled participants will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.
4. Enrolment and Payment
4.1 Fees
All fees are quoted and payable in Malaysian Ringgit (RM). Fees are inclusive of all Materials stated in the programme description. No additional charges apply unless explicitly stated at the time of enrolment.
- Group Workshop Day Pass: RM 510 per person, per session day
- Family Conversation Toolkit: RM 1,180 per household
- Pre-Retirement Year Programme: RM 2,860 per year, per person
4.2 Payment methods
Payment methods accepted are advised at the time of enrolment confirmation and may include bank transfer and selected electronic payment platforms. Payment is required to confirm a place in a workshop or to dispatch a toolkit.
4.3 Cancellation and refunds
- Workshop Day Pass: Cancellations made more than 7 calendar days before the session date receive a full refund. Cancellations within 7 days receive a 50% refund. No refund applies for non-attendance without prior notice.
- Family Conversation Toolkit: Once the physical kit has been dispatched or the facilitator orientation session has taken place, no refund is available. Prior to dispatch, a full refund will be issued on written request.
- Pre-Retirement Year Programme: Participants who withdraw within the first 30 days receive a pro-rata refund less any sessions already delivered. After 30 days, no refund is available for the remainder of the year.
5. Participant Responsibilities
Participants agree to:
- Provide accurate contact and enrolment information when registering.
- Attend sessions punctually and engage respectfully with studio facilitators and other participants.
- Treat workshop environments and materials with reasonable care.
- Refrain from recording, photographing, or sharing session content without prior written consent from the studio.
- Not use programme materials to deliver educational sessions, workshops, or coaching to third parties.
- Not share digital materials supplied as part of a programme beyond the household registered for that programme.
6. Intellectual Property
All workbooks, prompt cards, agendas, reading lists, session frameworks, website content, and other materials produced by Steadyway remain the intellectual property of the studio. Participants are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Materials for their own household preparation purposes only.
Reproduction, redistribution, or commercial use of any Materials without prior written approval from Steadyway is prohibited. The studio name, logo, and programme titles may not be used in any external publication or promotion without written consent.
7. Disclaimers
Steadyway programmes and materials are provided for educational purposes only. The studio makes no representations or warranties regarding the completeness, accuracy, or fitness for purpose of any content delivered. Individual outcomes will vary and depend on personal circumstances outside the studio's knowledge or control.
Nothing in any programme, coaching session, or printed material constitutes advice on retirement planning, estate arrangements, investment, insurance, health decisions, or any other specialist matter. Participants are strongly encouraged to consult appropriately qualified and licensed professionals for advice specific to their situation.
The website and its content are provided on an "as available" basis. The studio does not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted under Malaysian law, the studio's total liability to any participant arising from or related to a programme shall not exceed the amount paid by that participant for the specific programme to which the claim relates.
The studio is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss arising from participation in a programme or use of programme materials, including loss of income, business decisions made in reliance on session content, or actions taken following programme participation.
The studio is not responsible for delays or non-performance caused by circumstances outside reasonable control, including natural events, public health disruptions, utility failures, or government-directed restrictions.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Steadyway, its staff, and facilitators from and against any claims, losses, or expenses arising out of your breach of this Agreement, your misuse of programme materials, or your violation of any applicable law in connection with your participation in a programme.
10. Termination
The studio may terminate or suspend a participant's enrolment in a programme without refund if the participant:
- Behaves in a manner that is disruptive, disrespectful, or harmful to other participants or studio staff;
- Breaches any provision of this Agreement; or
- Provides materially false information at the time of enrolment.
A participant may withdraw from a programme at any time subject to the refund terms set out in Section 4.3. Sections 6, 7, 8, and 9 of this Agreement survive termination.
11. Dispute Resolution
This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising in connection with it shall first be referred to the studio in writing at [email protected]. The studio will endeavour to resolve complaints within 14 business days of receipt.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sabah, Malaysia. Participants who are consumers may also refer disputes to the Tribunal for Consumer Claims Malaysia (Tribunal Tuntutan Pengguna Malaysia) in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act 1999.
12. General Provisions
- Entire agreement. This Agreement, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitutes the entire agreement between the studio and the participant in relation to the subject matter hereof.
- Severability. If any provision of this Agreement is found to be unenforceable, that provision shall be severed and the remainder shall continue in full force.
- Waiver. Failure to enforce any provision of this Agreement shall not constitute a waiver of future enforcement of that or any other provision.
- Notices. Notices to the studio should be sent in writing to [email protected] or to the studio's postal address. Notices to participants will be sent to the email address provided at the time of enrolment.
13. Changes to These Terms
The studio may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The revised version will be published on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Where a change is material, enrolled participants will be notified by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
Continued participation in a programme or use of the website after the effective date of a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
