Our Programmes

Three ways to walk the path, at the pace that suits you

Whether you have a single free Saturday or are beginning a full year of preparation, Steadyway has a programme sized to your household and your timing.

How We Work

Education before decision

Every programme Steadyway offers is educational in character. Sessions present frameworks, questions, and printed materials — not personal recommendations. Specialist matters — legal, financial, or health-related — are always referred to the qualified professionals participants choose for themselves. Our role is to help a household think more clearly and speak more openly before those conversations happen.

Printed materials in every session

Each participant leaves with a workbook and a reading list they can use at home, at their own speed.

Household and family focus

Programmes are designed to open conversation across generations, not only within a single participant's mind.

Flexible entry points

Start with a single workshop day and expand later, or enrol directly in the year programme if your timeline is clear.

Referral to specialists

When specialist input is needed, the studio points participants toward qualified practitioners rather than substituting for them.

Programme 01

Group Workshop Day Pass

A day pass to one of the studio's weekend workshops. Each session covers a single preparation theme — household records, family conversations, calendar planning, or reading and reflection. The session is presented by the studio team and runs across two segments, morning and afternoon, with a tea break in between.

Attendees receive a printed workbook for the day and a follow-up reading list to take home. The workshop is educational; it does not include personal advice. It is open to adults of any age preparing for retirement themselves or supporting a household member through the transition.

  • Single-theme focus per session — morning and afternoon segments
  • Printed workbook included for the day
  • Follow-up reading list provided at close
  • Suitable for any adult, no prior preparation needed
  • Weekend schedule, held at the studio in Wisma Sabah

Programme 02

Family Conversation Toolkit

A printed and digital toolkit designed to help households open structured conversations across generations — about retirement, household responsibilities, and shared records. The toolkit is built for households of two to six adult participants and is meant to be used together, at home, over a single dedicated sitting or across a few evenings.

The kit includes a fifty-page workbook, a set of conversation prompt cards, and a guided agenda for a ninety-minute family meeting. It comes with a one-hour orientation session with a studio facilitator, available in person or by phone. The toolkit is conversational and reflective in character; it does not provide advice on personal circumstances.

  • Fifty-page printed workbook, also supplied in digital format
  • Conversation prompt card set for structured household dialogue
  • Guided ninety-minute family meeting agenda included
  • One-hour facilitator orientation, in person or by phone
  • Designed for two to six adult household members

Programme 03

Pre-Retirement Year Programme

A twelve-month programme for adults who intend to step away from full-time work within the coming year. The programme combines monthly coaching sessions, attendance at the studio's quarterly workshop calendar, and a written quarterly review note prepared by the studio team.

The coaching is organizational and educational — sessions help participants arrange records, think through timelines, and prepare household documentation. Specialist questions are referred to qualified professionals the participant engages independently. The annual fee covers one participant; a partner may be added at a reduced rate, and all sessions, quarterly workshops, and printed materials are included.

  • Twelve monthly one-to-one coaching sessions
  • Attendance at four quarterly studio workshop days
  • Written quarterly review notes from the studio
  • All printed materials throughout the year
  • Partner add-on available at reduced annual rate

Annual fee

RM 2,860 / year per person

Studio Standards

How the studio runs its programmes

Steadyway holds itself to a consistent set of operational standards across all three programmes. These are the principles that shape every session, workbook, and facilitator interaction.

Participant privacy

Information shared in any session or toolkit exercise is held in confidence by the studio and is not passed to third parties without the participant's written agreement.

Educational scope only

All content is general in character. The studio does not give personal legal, financial, or health-related advice, and facilitators do not hold themselves out as licensed practitioners in those fields.

Current printed materials

Workbooks and prompt cards are reviewed annually. Participants receive the edition current at the time of their session; revisions within a programme year are supplied at no additional charge.

Accessible venue and format

Workshop sessions are held at Suite 7, Wisma Sabah, with lift access. Facilitator orientation sessions for the toolkit may be taken by phone for participants unable to attend in person.

Small group sizes

Weekend workshops are kept to a manageable number of attendees so that each person has room to engage with the material and the facilitator at their own pace.

No obligation to continue

Each programme stands alone. Attending a workshop day carries no expectation of purchasing a toolkit or enroling in the year programme; each is a separate, complete offering.
